Amanda Wick wrote The Catalysts to advance her mission of making the forces reshaping the global financial order—cryptocurrency, U.S. economic and political dysfunction, social engineering—accessible to everyone, because an informed public is essential to a healthy democracy. She is a frequent keynote speaker on digital assets, regulation, and the consequences when innovation and government collide rather than collaborate. As Founder of the Association for Women in Cryptocurrency and a Principal at Incite Consulting, Amanda works to advance gender diversity and provide expert advisory services across the digital finance sector. Previously, she served as Senior Investigative Counsel for the House January 6th Committee and held senior roles at Chainalysis, FinCEN, and the Department of Justice, focused on cryptocurrency, regulatory modernization, and combating illicit finance.
Todd Phillips has built a wide-ranging career at the intersection of financial regulation, public policy, and academia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business and Principal at Phillips Policy Consulting, advising on financial and regulatory policy. His previous roles include Director of Financial Regulation and Corporate Governance at the Center for American Progress and Senior Attorney at the FDIC during the Biden Administration. He has also served in legal and policy positions at the Administrative Conference of the United States and in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Austin Campbell is a finance and risk management professional with nearly two decades of experience in trading, portfolio management, executive leadership, and academia. He is the Managing Partner and Founder of Zero Knowledge Consulting, with previous leadership roles at WSPN Ltd. Austin has taught finance and markets at NYU Stern and Columbia Business School and formerly held senior positions at Paxos, Citi, Stone Ridge, and JP Morgan Chase.
Carole House is a nonresident senior fellow at the Atlantic Council GeoEconomics Center and a former White House NSC special advisor for cybersecurity and critical infrastructure. She has held executive and advisory roles with Terranet Ventures, the CFTC, the New York DFS, and the Idaho Department of Finance. Previously, she led cybersecurity, virtual currency, and emerging technology policy at the U.S. Treasury’s FinCEN. Her background also includes cybersecurity and infrastructure policy work at OMB and the U.S. Senate, along with prior service as an Army captain, including a deployment to Afghanistan.
Peter E. Harrell is a Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University’s Institute for International Economic Law and an attorney advising companies on international legal, regulatory, and geopolitical risks. His research focuses on U.S. economic competitiveness, trade policy, and the use of economic tools in foreign policy. From 2021 to 2022, he served in the White House as senior director for international economics, leading major initiatives on supply chain resilience, digital and telecom strategy, U.S.–EU data privacy negotiations, and sanctions and export controls related to Russia. Harrell previously worked in private practice, held senior roles at the State Department, and has published widely on public policy. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Princeton University and holds a JD from Yale Law School.

Erik Balsbaugh is a seasoned campaign manager and public relations professional with more than a decade of experience in public policy, communications, and high-profile political campaigns. He has contributed to winning efforts for Secretary Hillary Clinton, Senator Elizabeth Warren, and Secretary John Kerry, known for his strategic insight and disciplined execution. Erik excels at building broad coalitions, leading dispersed teams, and mobilizing grassroots volunteers to deliver measurable results. He is also known for his strong relationships with stakeholders across sectors and his steady judgment under pressure. Fluent in Spanish, he connects effectively with diverse communities to expand a campaign’s reach and impact.
Larry is a veteran of the labor movement with over 18 years of experience. A pioneer in the labor-climate space, most notably he founded the Progressive Workers’ Union (PWU) at the Sierra Club. As part of his labor work he founded UnionBase, and LaborDAO. His career includes leadership roles with the Teamsters Union, Sierra Club, and an Executive Director of Black Men Vote (BMV).
Ben combines the discipline of a strategist with the heart of an organizer. He has worked on campaigns from the presidential level down to local races, founded a Democratic consulting firm in a red state, and most recently served as Communications Director for the Salt Lake County District Attorney.
